For $15 dollars a year, area residents can become a member of Lone Star College-North Harris’ Academy of Lifelong Learning (ALL) and enjoy a wide-variety of classes being offered throughout the year for free or very low supply cost, but residents must register in advance. ALL is geared toward adults 50 years young and above, but all ages are welcome to join. Membership is renewed each August.
May 5: Introduction to Windows, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Learn Windows XP elements.
Aroma Therapy Spa Party, with certified natural health practitioner,Michaelene Peterson, 2 to 3 p.m.
May 9: Financial Series:Budgeting 101: strengthening your dollars and sense, with Elizabeth Trejo, Texas Extension Services, 9 to 10 a.m.
May: 12 to 21: E-Mailing Family and Friends, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4 to 6 p.m.
May 13 to 22: Introduction to Word, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to noon.
May 15: Basic Floral Design, with Phyllis Smith, 1 to 2 p.m.
May 21: Illustrating Your Ideas, with author/illustrator Adele Bower, 1 to 2 p.m. Learn how to get your ideas down on paper.
May 28: Writing for Publication,with author Christie Craig, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Ever thought you might have a bit of Erma Bombeck or Leon Hale in you?
