MATH 0110 -- THEA Preparation in the Math Lab
Contact Cathy Stevens 281.618.5689 for information.
The Math 0110 course is designed for students reviewing for THEA who have completed all required developmental math courses through MATH 0310 (Intermediate Algebra) but who have not yet passed the THEA math test. Students who enroll in this course review the math skills needed for the THEA math test. These students work with current textbooks, the "Take-a-Teacher-Home" video series, and Math Lab software, all of which are available in the Math Lab for in-lab use. Math Lab tutors and Math 0110 instructors are available to help students with questions. Each student's Math 0110 assignments are based on his Pre-TASP test results and THEA math sub-scores. During the Fall and Spring sessions students enrolled in Math 0110 are required to spend two and one-half hours per week (more weekly hours during the summer semester) in the Math Lab working on math for the THEA, and one Math 0110 assignment is due per week (more during summer). Other students who wish to review for the THEA Math test may enroll in MATH 0110 with Math Department approval.
