The purpose of the Learning Center is to support learning and teaching by providing students, faculty, and community members with appropriate academic services and facilities to improve current skills, learn new skills, and develop effective strategies for life-long learning. The services of the Learning Center are designed to be flexible enough to meet the demands of a changing population, to accommodate different learning styles, and help students persist in order to achieve their educational goals. The Center emphasizes helping students learn and enhance skills in the context of their courses of study.
Writing Center
The Lone Star College-North Harris Writing Center supports the instructional programs of the NHC English department.
Faculty and Staff Center
The Faculty & Staff Center helps all employees meet the challenges of the changing educational environment by serving as a clearing house for information, resources and training, and by acting as a source for innovation in instruction.
