The Library, which opened in 2000, was designed to be compliant with ADA standards. It has wide aisles and accessible furniture and accommodations. Specifically, the library offers these services to our users who need assistance:
- Friendly, service-oriented staff who will provide any assistance needed
- Adjustable computer work tables in Library 208, 301, and in the 3rd floor Research Area
- Low service counters and accessible restrooms
- A dedicated computer workstation with Kurzweil text-to-speech software, scanner, and screen enlargement software in the Research Area on the 3rd floor
- Microfiche reader/printer with text enlargement capability
- Elevator service between floors
- ADA accessible website
- Remote access to most of the library’s electronic resources
