The Reference/Instruction Librarian
The Reference/Instruction Librarian works with librarians and faculty to develop and disseminate information literacy skills to students and community members. Position also provides reference service.
Lone Star College-North Harris is located in the north Houston area, near the Bush Intercontinental Airport. The Library has a staff of 5 full-time librarians and 6 full-time support staff. Librarians have faculty status. The collection includes more than 160,000 items. As a Federal Depository Library, the library is one of the five college libraries in the Lone Star College System. Our college libraries have an innovative resource sharing partnership with two public library systems in our service area. The library has an active instruction program and enjoys strong faculty and administration support.

Part Time Reference Librarian
The part time Reference Librarian provides assistance to students, faculty, and community users at the reference desk including internet and database searching. In addition, other short projects are assigned that may include collection development, instruction classes, displays, or other assignments as needed.

Is available for work during library hours (generally between 7:30 AM and 9:30 PM) and some evening and weekend duty as assigned.
