With it's small classes and affordable costs, Lone Star College-North Harris's Professional Nursing Program offers students a high-quality general nursing education resulting in an Associate Degree of Nursing and enabling the graduate to successfully sit for the Registered Nurse examination. Once you have earned your RN license, you can continue your education to earn advanced degrees at any of the following Gulf Coast Area universities
Prarie View A&M University
Located in the Houston Medical Center, PVAMU has educated nursing professionals since 1944. With a new nursing education facility opening in Fall 2004, this program offers BSN, RN-BSN and numerous specialty tracks. Current RNs can also earn their BSN through the University Center located in The Woodlands, Texas
University of Texas Medical Branch
(UTMB - On-line Program)
Located in historic Galveston, Texas, UTMB was the first nursing school in the state. Further your education here by earning your BSN, MSN or numerous other specialty degrees and certifications, including a new on-line program for current RNs.
Texas A&M - Corpus Christi
Texas A&M, one of the most prestigious universities in the state, offers BSN and MSN degree programs at its Corpus Christi campus in the nearby Coastal Bend area. Also available are tracks for Nurse Administrators, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Nurse Practitioners.
Texas Womens University
The largest nursing school in the state with 1400 students, TWU offers BSN, MSN and doctoral programs as well as nurse practitioner and nurse administrator tracks.
