Participants and guests should dress comfortably. Men are encouraged to wear dark slacks, light colored shirts, and dark shoes. Women are encouraged to wear cool, street-length dresses, and low heel, dark shoes.

Graduates participating in the commencement ceremony must wear a cap, gown, tassel, and stole. Regalia may be purchased at the Lone Star College-North Harris Bookstore until Friday, May 9, 2008 before 2:00 p.m. The cost is approximately $42.95 plus tax. All commencement participants will receive a commemorative diploma cover at the ceremony. Certified candidates will receive their diplomas through the mail. (Spring graduates’ diplomas will be mailed in July and summer graduates’ diplomas will be mailed in September.)

From I-45 North, take Cypresswood exit and turn left. Take Cypresswood (west) to Steubner-Airline and turn left. Champion Forest Baptist Church will be on the right hand side.

From Beltway 8 going West, take Ella Blvd exit and proceed 1.6 miles to Veterans Memorial. Turn right on Veterans Memorial and proceed 5.5 miles. Veterans Memorial turns into Stuebner Airline Road (north of FM 1960). Champion Forest Baptist Church is located at 15555 Stuebner Airline Road on the left just pass Strack Road.

There is no charge for parking. Allow ample time for traffic congestion.

There is no limitation to the number of guests that may be invited. Guests will enter the Worship Center.

Graduates of the Honors Program should contact sponsors for information on inclusion in the program.

Commencement invitations may be purchased from the bookstore or other outside sources.

Graduates must pick up a required seating card by 5:30 p.m. at the doors of the Family Life Center at Champion Forest Baptist Church. Graduates must assemble for processional lineup by 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center, located in the rear of Champion Forest Baptist Church.

Graduates who are members of Phi Theta Kappa should contact their local college PTK sponsors for information on ordering PTK stoles and tassels and appropriate accessories allowed at the ceremony.
