Required Testing
Before registering for classes, all students are required to demonstrate that they are at college level in reading, writing and math. Prospective students can do this by:
- taking a Texas state approved placement test
OR - providing current test scores from a Texas state approved test.
AND/OR - providing transcripts from an accredited college or university showing grades of C or better in college-level English and Math.
NOTE: Certain scores on Accuplacer, SAT, ACT, and TAKS may be used for placement. Bring all test scores and transcripts with you when you come in to talk to Admissions and Counseling.
